Auto Body Refinishing in Littlestown, Pennsylvania

1 min read

Paint is what people notice, and it is the part of auto body work with the least room to hide a shortcut. G&S Bodyworks sprays everything from a single blended panel to a complete color change.

Matching, then proving the match

Computerized color matching reads the existing finish and gives us a formula. That formula is a starting point, never the finished answer. Sun exposure, age, and the original production batch all move a color away from its code. We spray a card, hold it against the panel outdoors, adjust, and only then load the gun for the vehicle.

Metallics and pearls add another variable, because the flake orients differently depending on how it is laid down. Two painters working from the same formula can produce visibly different panels.

Booth discipline

Everything is sprayed in a controlled booth with filtered air. A single piece of debris in wet clear means cutting and buffing it out afterward, so we would rather keep it out in the first place. Panels bake to full cure before anything is reassembled.

Beyond collision work

Complete repaints on vehicles whose factory finish has given up. Color changes for owners who want something different and are willing to do it properly, including door jambs and under the hood rather than just the outer skin. Classic car repaints. Custom work and pinstriping. Clear coat restoration when the base underneath is still sound.

Small jobs count

A customer brought us the taillights on his GTR and wanted a glass-like finish on the surrounding work. Small, visible, unforgiving jobs like that get the same booth and the same process as a full repaint, because that is the only way they come out right.
