Owner Leonard spent seven years at a Lexus, Porsche, and Audi dealership before opening G&S. Our lead body technician spent years as a dedicated BMW specialist. That is not a certificate on a wall, it is years of seeing how these vehicles are assembled, which fasteners are single use, and where the factory expects a repair to stop.

Procedure over habit

European manufacturers publish specific repair procedures and they are not interchangeable with domestic practice. Bonded panels, single use bolts, corrosion protection that has to be reapplied after any weld, and torque values that actually matter. A repair that skips those steps holds together and quietly stops meeting the standard the car was built to.

We look up the procedure for the model and year in front of us. On an older Mercedes that occasionally means finding out that the correct method is nothing like what the same brand specifies today.

Factory finishes on these cars are frequently multi-stage, and the color varies between production runs of the same code. Our computerized matching gets the starting point, then we spray and compare before committing to the panel.
