Trucks are a large share of the work at G&S Bodyworks. Pickups take damage that cars never see, and a lot of shops would rather not deal with them.

Bed, tailgate, and rocker work

Bedsides get creased against loading docks and trailer tongues. Tailgates get backed into. Rockers and cab corners on older trucks in Adams County take a beating from winter road treatment and eventually need metal cut out and new steel welded in rather than filler troweled over. We do that welding in house.

Aluminum-bodied pickups

Ford went aluminum on the F-150 body in 2015 and the F-250 followed. Those panels cannot be repaired with the tools used on steel, and aluminum dust in a steel shop is a genuine fire and contamination problem. We are I-Car Platinum certified with the separate equipment and the training to repair them to factory specification. Not every auto body shop within an hour of here can say that, which is why aluminum trucks get sent to us from further out than our usual radius.

Lifted and modified

Lift kits, flares, bumpers, and aftermarket bed accessories all change how a panel lines up and how a repair has to be planned. We work with what is on the truck rather than telling you to return it to stock first.

Work trucks and project trucks

A daily driver that hauls tools gets the same repair standard as a show build. What changes is the conversation about scope. A twenty year old work truck may not warrant a full repaint when a bedside blend gets it back to presentable, and we will say so.
